Israel Claims “Historic” Air Victory After F-35 Shoots Down Iranian Jet Over Tehran

Israel claimed a historic aerial victory after its advanced Lockheed Martin F‑35I Adir stealth fighter reportedly shot down an Iranian Yak‑130 jet during an air-to-air engagement over Tehran, the capital of Iran.

According to reports, the fighter jet operated by the Israeli Air Force intercepted and destroyed the aircraft amid rising military tensions between Israel and Iran. If confirmed, this would mark the first known instance of an F-35 stealth fighter destroying a manned aircraft in air-to-air combat.

The F-35I “Adir” is Israel’s customized version of the fifth-generation stealth fighter, known for its advanced radar systems, stealth technology, and long-range strike capability.
However, independent confirmation from Iranian authorities regarding the incident has not yet been released, and details

surrounding the encounter remain limited.
The development comes at a time of escalating tensions in the Middle East, raising concerns about further military confrontations in the region.
