Delhi Police Grants Permission for CJP Protest at Jantar Mantar
New Delhi, June 6: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), a youth-led movement that has gained significant attention on social media, has received permission from Delhi Police to hold its protest at Jantar Mantar today. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke arrived in Delhi from the United States and appealed to supporters to gather directly at Jantar Mantar while maintaining peace and discipline.
The protest is focused on issues related to competitive examinations, education reforms, and alleged irregularities in the examination system. Protesters are demanding accountability and reforms in the education sector. Security arrangements have been strengthened around Jantar Mantar as authorities expect participants from different parts of the country.
Ahead of the demonstration, CJP leaders urged supporters to carry the national flag and books as symbols of education and peaceful democratic participation. Organizers have repeatedly called for a non-violent protest and cooperation with law enforcement agencies.
The protest marks one of the first major on-ground demonstrations by the movement, which has attracted widespread attention among students and young people across India.
