Iran Announces De-escalation, Says It Will Not Attack Neighbouring Countries
In a significant move aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East, Iranโs President Masoud Pezeshkian has apologized to neighbouring countries and announced that Iran will avoid launching missile strikes or attacks against them.
According to the Iranian leadership council in Tehran, the country will not carry out attacks on neighbouring states unless an attack against Iran originates from their territory. The statement is seen as an effort to calm growing tensions amid the ongoing conflict involving Israel and the United States.
The announcement is being viewed internationally as the first major step toward de-escalation in the region. Political analysts say the move could help prevent further regional escalation and reduce fears of a wider war in the Middle East.
However, global leaders continue to monitor the situation closely as tensions remain high and diplomatic efforts are ongoing to stabilize the region.
