GoPro Linked to Pahalgam Attack Activated in China, NIA Tells Court
Indiaโs National Investigation Agency (NIA) has informed a court that a GoPro camera linked to the recent Pahalgam attack was activated from China, according to digital evidence gathered during the investigation.
The agency told the court that technical analysis indicates the device was activated from outside India. Following this development, the court has sought assistance from Chinese authorities to obtain further details related to the activation of the camera.
Officials said the request for international cooperation aims to help investigators trace the source of the activation and gather additional technical information that could assist the probe.
The NIA continues its investigation into the Pahalgam attack, examining digital evidence and other leads to identify those responsible and determine any broader connections behind the incident. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing.
