Apex Body Calls for Mega Peaceful Rally in Ladakh on March 12
Leh, Ladakh | 8 March 2026
The Ladakh Apex Body (LAB) has announced a mega peaceful rally scheduled for March 12 in Leh, calling on people from across Ladakh to participate in large numbers to express their concerns over key issues affecting the region.
Addressing the media in Leh, leaders of the Apex Body urged residents, youth, civil society members, and community organizations to join the peaceful gathering and show unity. The rally comes amid growing concerns over the delay in holding discussions with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) regarding Ladakh’s demands.
According to the organizers, the rally is also being held in response to the continued detention of several leaders, which has raised concerns among many residents in the region. The Apex Body emphasized that the protest will remain peaceful and democratic, aimed at highlighting the aspirations and demands of the people of Ladakh.
LAB leaders stated that the rally will serve as a platform for the people to collectively voice their concerns and urge the central government to address the long-pending issues related to Ladakh’s political and administrative future.
They further appealed to the public to maintain peace, discipline, and unity during the rally, stressing that the movement is about safeguarding Ladakh’s interests and ensuring that the voices of its people are heard.
The rally is expected to see participation from various social, political, and community groups from across the region.
